“Zibanejad” isn’t a household name quite yet… at least in hockey-speaking households in North America. But it’s clear that the 18 year-old Huddinge native has already made quite the impression. Selected sixth overall, Mika Zibanejad was offered a three year entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators yesterday only three weeks after the draft. Along with fellow countryman Jonas Brodin (Minnesota) and first overall pick Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (Edmonton), he is only the third player from this year’s draft to be offered a professional contract (so far).
